One of the most commercially successful Pinoy Rap Groups under Dongalo Wreckords, Salbakuta was originally composed of MCs, Charlie Mack, Bendeatha, Mad Killah and Nasty Mac.

Meaning “naughty” in The Bikolano language, The group was originally known for their hit-track, “S2pidLuv” which sampled Barbara Strieisand’s love-themed track, “Everclear”. That track was part of their first studio album, Ayoko ng ganitong life… which was released back in 2001.

Salbakuta is known for their humorous and “novelty” themes that mainly deals with sex and romance. They would eventually release two more studio albums until the passing of member, Nasty Mac due to heart complications.

But despite of that, the group remains strong and remains active in various hip-hop and other commercial gigs. In addition, they were featured in several films both cameo and as supporting cast.

Salbakuta has its success and controversies as issues fueled between its members, notably Bendeatha who left the group back in 2015 and pursued a solo career. Fellow Dongalo Wreckords artist, Jawtee joined Salbakuta and with his inclusion to the group, released their fifth studio album, Wag Kang Bitter back in 2016.

Today, Salbakuta remains to be active in The Pinoy Hip-Hop scene, creating new tracks and performing in various events. They continue to be one of the most respected in the industry.
