John Rendez / Porter Jr., more known in The Pinoy Hip-Hop as Metal Dog is a half-Pinoy and half-Irish-American MC based in Angeles, Pampanga. He was first known for his hardcore style of Pinoy Rap as with his “self-titled” studio album under Viva Records back in 1994.
In addition, Rendez performed his tracks in various popular variety television shows around The Philippines and was even featured in the 1996 Pinoy action flick, Madaling Mamatay Mahirap Mabuhay starring Ronnie Ricketts.
Rendez would go into hiatus a few years after the release of his first album to concentrate on personal matters, but would briefly return to the scene a decade after and released his second studio album, There Can Only Be One back in 2012.
