Biography:
This four men group is composed of MCs, Batas and Goriong Talas plus producer and beatmaker, Apo Lerma. The three MCs were contestants in Flip-Top, the premier freestyle battle rap competition in The Philippines.
After collaborating in several tracks, the three formed Illustrado back in 2015 along with beatmaker and producer, Godzilla. But the latter was later replaced by Batangas based, Apo Lerma who specialized in an experimental boombap sound and established the trademark musical style of the group.
Illustrado was signed to Uprising Records and released their self-titled studio album back in 2017. This was follow up with their second album, “Hanggang Kamtayan: Ngayon at Bukas” and is also the first double LP released in Pinoy Hip-Hop. The group is also very active in the local underground hip-hop scene and also performs in major hip-hop events around the country.
